As someone who uses a computer day in, day out, I’m fairly good at working with mine. Except of course, when it decides to grow itself a mind of its own, as if it can even do that.
It can it seems do that. Today has been a day of waiting for the t’s and r’s to appear after typing them, and then deleting all the extra commas that have sprung up mid sentence. Trying to put together our business newsletter this afternoon has proved to be particularly trying. At one point I almost launched the keyboard against the office wall. I have slapped it a couple of times. Really hard. No difference – it’s still playing up. It’s a brand new keyboard and mouse with brand new batteries installed. It’s driving me crazy.
It’s going back to the shop tomorrow.
