Greetings! I’m passionate about the natural world we inhabit; the written word; and photography. Oh, and I should mention – I’m an eternal optimist. My cup is always half full.
It’s actually a side door to a tiny ancient church tucked away in a Wolds village not too far from me. The church has been locked whenever I’ve visited, so I’ve not managed to explore inside yet.
Or a view of the lives of folk who had been carried through it on their final journey. There are some fascinating old headstones in the churchyard here, as in most country churchyards. Thanks for commenting.
Lots of secrets behind this door.

What is it about a door? I find them so fasinating. They can be mysterious, friendly, whimsical, daunting, fearsome…. Great post.

Thank you Wendy. I love doors. I’ve photographed lots of them; they are indeed fascinating. For me it’s also about textures and materials and colours.

What a fantastic door. It would be amazing to watch a snapshot of all the people who have walked through it.
