Corinne Bailey Rae – Paris Nights / New York Mornings

I feel I’ve neglected this site just lately; the main reason being busyness and business.  I do have a couple of things lined up for it, but not quite finished.

In the meantime, I’ll share my music with you, and as I’m feeling midlife mellow today, that’s mellow, not yellow, green or blue, just plain old mellow – I’m listening to Corinne Bailey Rae.    She’s singing beautifully in the background whilst I tackle the accounts and the dreaded VAT.  Corinne Bailey Rae is just right for listening to today; here she is in a video singing Paris Nights / New York Mornings from her latest album “The Sea”.  Enjoy.

    1. Hello Lakia, Corinne is indeed sheer elegance – one beautiful girl. And her music is great. Thanks for your comment. SuzyB

  1. LOVE CBR! I had the good fortune of meeting her when she performed at the venue I was working when her debut was being released. She was so humble, modest, down-to-earth sweet and mild-mannered, and yet I knew she was destined for greatness. The bass player was a jolly fellow as well. I praised them for covering an obscure Led Zeppelin song, which seemed totally random given the material they presented, which was totally foreign to me at that time.
Yes, I have a huge crush on Corinne Bailey Rae. How could I not?

  2. I was introduced to her by SingStar. I’m thinking of becoming a fan because I kinda dig that song (Put Your Records On) and this one isn’t bad either. I should really get the song so I can learn it well enough to sing it, but that’s a discussion for another paragraphy. cheers.

    1. Hi there, it is a great return for Corinne, you’re right. Thanks for visiting – much appreciated.

I see you’re a big music fan yourself; I now have you bookmarked so I can keep track of your new posts. Always happy to interact with music lovers. Oh, and star gazers – it’s one of my favourite occupations too.

  3. Today, while graced with Seattle sun (aka – raining), Corrine’s music fits the atmosphere well and I would have never have fallen for her music if it weren’t for your blog.

    1. Hello Tara

Yes, Corinne certainly has a voice that suits specific moods and atmospheres; she’s also great to listen to when relaxing. I’ve loved her music for a long time, right back to her first album. But then I’m a bit of a music freak myself and love all types of music, especially new music, as you’ll see from my Vodpod video collection. So glad you are now familiar with her work.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on this site; it’s hugely appreciated. I have, by the way, subscribed to your own site – it’s the positivity that got me.

      Best regards, SuzyB
